Open access agreement for authors at eligible Swedish institutions

Publish open access with Wiley

Beginning 1 January 2020, authors affiliated with participating Swedish Bibsam institutions may publish primary research and review articles in any of Wiley’s fully gold Open Access or Wiley’s hybrid (subscription-based) journals which offer an open access option at no further charge* to the author.

To publish without having to pay additional Article Publication Charges (APCs), the article's corresponding author must be from an eligible institution and the article must have been accepted on or after 1 January 2020.
*subject to availability of sufficient funds in eligible Bibsam institutions' Wiley Open Access Accounts

To be eligible:

  • Your manuscript must have been accepted on or after 1 January 2020
  • You must be the corresponding author who is affiliated with an eligible Bibsam institution at the point of acceptance1
  • You must publish open access (in a fully gold OA journal or a hybrid journal that offers open access)
  • If publishing in a hybrid journal, you must order open access at the point of acceptance by using our order workflow as described below2
  • All primary research and review articles qualify3

How to publish your article open access

Eligible authors may publish open access in one of two ways:

Publish in any of Wiley's fully gold Open Access journals (View journal list) and follow the instructions in the PDF below.
Publish in any of Wiley’s hybrid journals that offer open access (View journal list) and follow the instructions in the PDF below.

1If you are no longer affiliated with an eligible institution at the point of acceptance of your paper, you do not qualify.

2If you don't order open access initially, your manuscript will be published under the traditional closed access model. You may order open access retroactively, but once your paper is published in Early View or In Issue online you are no longer eligible to publish open access at no charge.

3Other article types e.g. letters, editorials etc. are excluded.
