ORCID iD is a unique and persistent identifier that distinguishes you from other researchers and links you to your work, ensuring you get proper credit. The data in your ORCID record is machine-readable and can be used in various workflows, like manuscript submission and grant application systems, reducing your administrative workload. As a member of ORICID, Wiley has integrated this functionality into our online publication and submissions systems, allowing you to log in with your existing ORCID iD or create one when submitting to most of our journals.
CRediT is a community-owned 14 role taxonomy that can be used to describe the key types of contributions typically made to the production and publication of research output, such as research articles. Journals requiring CRediT allow authors to detail contributions during submission, with updates possible at revision stages through the Editorial Office. The submitting author inputs role assignments, and all authors must review and agree on their contributions. The final contribution statement will be published with the article.
