Inclusive Language Guidelines

At Wiley we value innovative, high-quality scholarship. We believe this includes a commitment to inclusive methods of discovery, solutions to research problems, and scholarly communication. Advancing diversity, equity, and inclusion increases the likelihood that research will benefit more people and communities across the world. Publishers and researchers therefore have a shared responsibility and opportunity to foster diverse scholarly communities and ensure an inclusive and equitable experience for all involved. That is why Wiley was among the first signatories to the Joint Committment for Action on Inclusive and Diversity in Publishing, a global network of publishers which aims to drive positive change within by collaborating on key inclusion and diversity principles and we support The Coalition for Diversity and Inclusion in Scholarly Communications (C4DISC) Joint Statement of Principles.
