Open access agreement for Hungarian authors

Publish open access with Wiley

Beginning 15 January 2019, authors from all Hungarian Electronic Information Service Programme (EISZ) institutions may publish primary research and review articles in any of Wiley’s fully gold Open Access or Wiley’s hybrid, OnlineOpen journals at no further charge* to the author.


To publish without having to pay additional Article Publication Charges (APCs), the article's corresponding author must be from an eligible institution and the article must have been accepted on or after 15 January 2019. (View Eligible EISZ Institutions)

*subject to availability of sufficient funds in eligible EISZ institutions' Wiley Open Access Accounts


To be eligible:

  • Your manuscript must have been accepted on or after 15 January 2019
  • You must be the corresponding author who is affiliated with an eligible Hungarian institution at the point of acceptance1
  • You must publish open access (in a fully gold OA journal or a hybrid journal that offers OnlineOpen)
  • All primary research and review articles qualify2

How to publish your article open access

Eligible authors may publish open access in one of two ways:


Publish in any of Wiley's fully gold Open Access journals (View journal list) and follow the instructions in the PDF below.
Publish in any of Wiley’s hybrid journals that offer OnlineOpen (View journal list) and follow the instructions in the PDF below.
